Writer, Journalist, Storyteller...

Aloha,

As a Filipina originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, I carry my love for my culture and heritage everywhere with me. When I write, I write with purpose. I write with honesty and authenticity. I write with equity and justice in mind. I am now living in...what is it that we say again? The South. With that said, people often ask—why move away from paradise? My response to that is, I believe everything is full circle. I am someone who constantly searches and researches different perspectives. Someone who refuses to stand by as issues arise all around me. My writing is not just expression or fact but is often a form of gratitude, solidarity, or fairness. 

I know what it's like to be an outsider and an insider at the same time. I am comfortable with being uncomfortable. As I write this letter, I continue to bring raw and unique perspectives to the bylines of various magazines and newspapers, well-established businesses, and those still in the process of growing.
